In jail they talk of ‘The Man In The Mirror’
And every day I see it clearer
That the man I see looking back at me
Is everything I want to be
My beard long, my body strong
And even though it took so long
I don’t think I could do much more
To shape this hardship I endure
Into a sword of pure of will
Ready to die, ready to thrill
I see this time as a trial
The hardest road, the longest mile
And every day a little longer
On the inside makes me stronger
As I exercise my mind all night
And teach old memories not to bite
And yes I’ve made some big mistakes
Looking at my sins my heart still breaks
But if I look, what it means to be
I know I’m where I need to be
I’m OK with the man in the mirror
