The more you fight the more you risk serious injury but the fewer people will try to fuck with you.

The beast in me
Ii capable of anything
But it takes a lot to draw him out
The last time I saw him
He got me hurt
And the time before that
He hurt someone else
I keep him buried
In solitude and introspection
And pray that no one
Comes looking for him
But they sometimes do
And I find myself thinking
Of brawling and blades
Until the madness subsides
Through all the pain
That he’s put me through
I’m glad to have him
In this chapter of life
That is riddled with demons
Who understand nothing
But the wrath of the beast
So I train my body
To be a weapon
I train my mind
To keep the beast chained
And only let him out
When it’s absolutely necessary
This part of me
So black and brutal
Is only human
And thinking on it reminds me
What it is to be a man

On the inside having a temper can be a positive or a negative depending on the situation. If you lose your cool you can quickly end up punching on but if you don’t you look weak and invite stand overs and exploitation. People respect you if you stick up for yourself but it may mean not backing down from a fight you can’t win. The more you fight the more you risk serious injury but the fewer people will try to fuck with you.
It’s no secret that I have a temper. It’s another thing that requires the right approach for the situation at hand. Only let the beast out when it’s the right thing to do.
